Welcome!

Supertooth online school, community and professional volunteer facilitated dental health education project, helps improve personal tooth care skills that help prevent tooth decay, particularly where food is left between teeth and inside grooves on chewing surfaces.
  • Fluoride, brushing, flossing, fissure sealants and avoiding sweets all reduce cavities for children, but teenager caries rate is high.
  • All cavities occur where food and drink left on teeth causes many acid demineralisation attacks that exceeds saliva remieralisation.
  • Tooth decay is still the most common disease with the economic impact of heart disease and diabetes, yet the most preventable.
  • Even though most food is trapped between teeth, over 80% of cavities occur inside pits and fissures in grooves on chewing surfaces where the brush fluoride and saliva cannot reach.
  • Few cavities occur where the brush, fluoride and saliva have easy access to remove food, neutralise acid and repair demineralised tooth

Supertooth helps develop simple skills to prevent meals and snacks being trapped, and to remove trapped food after eating and provide easy access for fluoride and saliva to neutralise acid and repair demineralised tooth.

Teachers can register for class surveys, experiments and research updates. Individuals can also register for an annual survey and more information. Dentists can register to use the Supertooth logo and teaching aids and help improve the project. Registrations are password protected.
