Welcome!

Evidence indicates the need for better personal tooth care to prevent tooth DK, our most common disease that affects 11 million Australians yearly.

Over 90% of cavities in children occur from acid demineralisation inside pits and fissures on chewing surfaces where food is left trapped after eating, brushing cannot reach and saliva or fluoride have no access to neutralise acid and remineralise demineralised tooth like on easy to reach surfaces.

The middle photo is of sealant forced deep inside pits and fissures under chewing pressure and then the tooth was dissolved in acid, showing where food is trapped and fluoride toothpase can be forced under chewing pressure before brushing to remineralise tooth.

SupertoothNDK bold changes for better Personal Tooth care advice
1. Brush gum margins of teeth twice a day after flossing and chewing fluoride toothpaste for better access.
2. Chew a Supertooth sealant food, nuts or cheese before eating carbohydrate rich foods like sugar confection
3. Chew fibre like celery or sugarless gum after eating to help saliva neutralise acid and remineralise demineralised tooth.
4. Avoid eating acid forming food like sugar confection especially between meals for a snack or just before eating meals.

Please write to your local members requesting that Government should finance better evidence based national Oral Health Promotion, particularly to prevent Tooth Decay, our most common disease affecting every family including 11 million Australians per year.
